What I Offer

Human beings don’t exist in pieces.

When you're struggling, it's easy to focus on the symptom, the part that hurts the most.

The anxiety.

The relationship problems.

The chronic self-doubt and depression.

The intrusive thoughts and compulsive behavior.

The physical pain.

The emotional chaos.

It’s natural to want relief.

Your symptoms are telling a story that makes sense.

Lasting improvement is found when we focus on the whole story rather than the symptoms alone.

We naturally develop ways of thinking, feeling, coping, and relating that make sense in the context of our lives.

Many of the patterns begin as solutions to painful experiences we have faced.

If what we try works, we tend to keep doing it and often don’t realize when it has become our default way of responding.

The problem may not be what you think it is.

The challenge is that we can outgrow the patterns we once learned in order to survive, stay connected, avoid pain, or feel safe.

And that’s often when symptoms appear. Symptoms tell us something is wrong, but a symptom for one person doesn’t mean the same thing for another person - it’s not the full story.

We often cannot see for ourselves the patterns that generate the symptoms.

So no matter how hard you work to reduce the symptom, you find yourself right back where you started.

Not because you’re broken, or failing, but because the pattern underneath it is still operating.

You can keep fighting the symptom, or learn how the system works.

The goal isn't simply to make symptoms disappear. It's to understand how the symptoms make sense in the larger story of your life, so you can get to the root.

When we can see the patterns, how you learned them, and who and what they are connected to clearly, you gain something greater than understanding: choice.

The ability to respond intentionally rather than automatically.

The freedom to do something different, and have a roadmap to make that happen.

This is where meaningful, lasting change begins.

Hi, I’m Dr. Eliza Stucker-Rozovsky.

I founded Yavneh Psychology because I believe people deserve thoughtful and comprehensive care that treats them as whole human beings - not diagnoses.

My approach is evidence-based and tailored to you. I draw from multiple treatment approaches - treatment is dictated by how your symptoms make sense, not what your diagnosis is.

I work with adults and teens facing a wide range of concerns, including childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, body-focused repetitive behaviors, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, and women's health concerns such as endometriosis.

No two people arrive with the exact same story. That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Together, we'll work to understand the patterns shaping your life and create meaningful opportunities for change.

PHILOSOPHY AT yavneh

SYMPTOMS TELL A STORY

Often, what we call symptoms in the present are ways we learned to respond to our environment when we were younger. The problem is not that you adapted, but this adaptation no longer serves you.

CHANGE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE

We don’t always get to decide what happens to us, especially when we are young. But, it’s never too late to gain agency in your own life.

WE ARE MORE THAN A DIAGNOSIS

It’s not just about what’s “wrong” with you. You are so much more than a diagnosis.

Reach out to see if therapy is right for you.

There’s no commitment, pressure, or obligation.
