I'm a licensed clinical psychologist through the Board of Examiners of Psychologists in West Virginia and Maryland, and a National Register Health Service Psychologist (#65935). I'm also a PSYPACT-authorized provider (#15562), allowing me to offer telehealth across participating states, and I currently work with teens and adults in West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia.
Based in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, I provide telehealth psychotherapy for older adolescents and adults through my private practice. My clinical work centers on Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy (IRT) — I'm one of a handful of psychologists in the world certified in this approach. Through the IRT Institute, I offer consultation to other clinicians and develop and teach curriculum aimed at helping other clinicians learn and implement IRT into their practice.
Outside of therapy, teaching and research are important parts of my work. I've served as Adjunct Faculty at James Madison University and Yeshiva University, teaching psychology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I'm currently a research affiliate at JMU, which allows me to remain actively engaged in research on therapy and maintain a high level of knowledge base around best practices and emerging research.

Approach & Training
I focus on integration - understanding how your symptoms make sense and using techniques that will get to the root of the problem that sustains your symptoms. As such, I don’t lead with any singular technique but use multiple, depending on the person and what they need. Because I’m looking at the whole, I’ll ask you about your cultural factors, mental and physical health history, and attachment and learning history. I explore how you think, feel, and behave in response to your presenting concerns and all of this informs the story of how this all makes sense.
